The practice handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What this website collects
This website has no enquiry form, no account system, no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. It does not collect personal information from visitors. Standard server logs kept by the hosting provider may record IP addresses and requested pages for security and operational purposes.
Information collected when you make contact
When you telephone or email this office, the practice collects the information you provide, which will usually include your name, your firm, your contact details, the parties to a matter and the site address. That information is used to run a conflict check, to respond to your enquiry and, if an engagement proceeds, to carry out the engagement.
Matter material
Briefs, pleadings, reports and site material provided for an engagement are held in confidence, used only for that engagement, and retained in accordance with the practice's professional and insurance obligations. Material is not disclosed to any other party except as required by a court or tribunal, as required by law, or with your instructions.
Disclosure and storage
Personal information is not sold, rented or provided to third parties for marketing. Information may be disclosed to a court or tribunal where the engagement requires it, to professional advisers and insurers of the practice, and to service providers engaged to support the practice, each of whom is required to protect it. Information is stored on systems controlled by the practice with access limited to the principal.

You may request access to the personal information the practice holds about you, and request its correction, by contacting the practice using the details on the contact page.
